[ 03 / FAQ ]
Which music apps work?
Any of them. The popular players, Spotify among them, are in a ready-made list, and if yours is not there you can add it yourself. DuckDeck works at the Windows audio level, so it is not tied to one app.
Does it touch my game volume?
No. It only changes the audio of your music app. Game, voice chat and system volume are never touched.
Hotkeys in fullscreen games?
Yes. The hotkeys are global, and the overlay is click-through so your game keeps focus the whole time.
Is Pro really one payment?
Yes. €5.99 including VAT, once, and the license is yours. No subscription, no recurring charges.
Do I need an account?
No account and no password. You leave an email address to get the download link, and after that the app just runs. Pro unlocks with a license key from your purchase email.
Pro on more than one PC?
One key works on up to 3 of your PCs. Free up an old device from your purchase portal any time.
Why does Windows warn about it?
SmartScreen flags any app too few people have downloaded yet. It is a reputation check, not a virus scan. Full explanation, and how to verify the file.

Turn off audio ducking in Windows
Windows lowers your music the moment someone talks. Which setting does it, and how to stop it for good.
Volume mixer keeps resetting
Two different problems get called the same thing. Work out which one you have before you spend an afternoon on the wrong fix.
Lower Spotify volume while gaming
Four ways to do it without alt-tabbing, including the built-in Windows shortcuts.
Toastify alternative
Toastify is archived and partly broken. What still works on current Spotify, and what to use instead.
EarTrumpet alternative
EarTrumpet is a good free per-app mixer. It is just not built for gaming, and this is where that shows.
Voicemeeter alternative
Voicemeeter is a powerful virtual mixer, and overkill if all you want is your music on a hotkey.
Your aim shouldn't pay for your playlist.
